POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Engineer with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) expertise to design, develop, and deploy advanced automation and machine learning solutions in support of Department of Defense (DoD) missions. This role involves working across classified environments to deliver scalable, secure, and mission-driven AI capabilities that provide measurable operational value.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, develop, integrate, and test AI/ML and RPA solutions to support mission-critical operations
  • Build and deploy machine learning models, including solutions leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI
  • Develop end-to-end RPA workflows using UiPath or Microsoft Power Automate
  • Identify automation opportunities through process analysis and process mining techniques
  • Perform data engineering tasks including ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformation, and quality assurance
  • Integrate systems using RESTful APIs, webhooks, and secure authentication methods
  • Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity frameworks (RMF, NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs)
  • Operate effectively across multiple classification levels (Unclassified, Secret, Top Secret)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, government stakeholders, and mission partners
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
  • Master's degree preferred in AI/ML, Computer Science, or related discipline

EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML solution design, development, integration, and testing
  • 3+ years of experience supporting DoD, federal government, or defense contractor environments
  • Proven experience delivering AI/ML or RPA solutions with measurable business value
  • Experience working in classified environments (SIPRNet, JWICS) required for certain roles

CERTIFICATIONS
  • AI/ML certification (e.g., AWS ML, Google Professional ML Engineer, Azure AI Engineer, TensorFlow Developer)
  • RPA certification (UiPath Certified RPA Associate or Microsoft Power Automate Developer certification)
  • CompTIA Security+ or higher (DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant such as CISSP, CASP+, or GIAC)

TECHNICAL SKILLS
AI/ML & Data Science
  • Experience with LLMs and generative AI (e.g., GPT, Claude, LLaMA)
  • Proficiency in ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Keras)
  • Knowledge of NLP, deep learning, computer vision, and reinforcement learning

DATA & ANALYTICS

SECURITY & COMPLIANCE
  • Knowledge of RMF, NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs

SECURITY CLEARANCE
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required (must be current and in-scope at contract start)

  • Knowledge of Air Force systems (e.g., DCGS, GCCS, MilCloud)
