Position Summary...As a Senior Data Scientist, you will help architect experimentation at Sam's Club. We are a high-impact team of data scientists and engineers dedicated to automating testing efficiency. We don't just analyze data; we build scalable applications that integrate predictive modeling, data engineering, and business strategy to drive data-driven decision-making across the entire organization.What you'll do... Engineer the Testing Ecosystem: Lead the development of a standardized, end-to-end testing platform to improve the speed and accuracy of business experiments. Standardize Causal Inference: Build and deploy robust causal measurement frameworks to unify how analytics are performed across different business domains. Build & Deploy: Design, test, and move into production advanced analytical models using Python and SQL to solve complex retail challenges. Data Sourcing & Strategy: Identify and integrate diverse datasets, ensuring high standards for data quality and suitability for experimental design. Evangelize Best Practices: Serve as a subject matter expert, translating tech-industry testing standards into actionable practices for Sam's Club associates. Collaborate: Partner with cross-functional teams to turn vague business requirements into rigorous, data-driven solutions. What you'll bring: Core Expertise: Strong command of causal inference, A/B testing methodology, and experimental design. Technical Stack: Proficiency in Python and SQL for full-cycle model development and deployment. At least 2 years of experience. Data Engineering & Viz: Solid understanding of data pipelines, quality standards, and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Analytical Depth: Experience applying advanced statistical methods and predictive modeling to real-world business problems.
