Job description

CAD Designer / Drafter
Location: Greater Los Angeles Area
Pay: $35.00 to $45.00 per hour (DOE)

Position Summary
We are seeking a CAD Designer/Drafter to support engineering and infrastructure projects by preparing and maintaining technical drawings using AutoCAD and Plant 3D. This position works closely with engineers and project managers to develop design packages, update existing drawings, and produce accurate construction documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and revise engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Plant 3D.
  • Produce 2D and 3D design drawings for engineering projects.
  • Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and redline markups.
  • Develop construction drawing packages and as-built documentation.
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and field personnel.
  • Ensure drawings comply with company drafting standards.
  • Maintain drawing revisions and document control procedures.
  • Support field verification and incorporate design changes.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree or certificate in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of CAD drafting experience.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD.
  • Plant 3D experience preferred.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
