CADD Supervisor

  • Client is seeking an experienced and innovative CADD Supervisor to manage drafting and design operations for civil engineering and survey projects. Serving municipal and private clients across the Gulf South, this role combines supervisory leadership with technical expertise as a Senior Draftsman.

  • The CADD Supervisor will oversee drafting workflows, perform senior-level drafting tasks, convert survey data and field notes into detailed plans, maintain drafting standards, introduce new technologies, and collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure high-quality deliverables. This position is crucial for producing precise, high-quality drafting outputs that align with regulatory standards and ASCE's mission of public safety and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise Drafting Teams: Manage and mentor draftsmen to ensure accurate, high-quality technical drawings and plans for infrastructure projects.

  • Senior Drafting Expertise: Manage and mentor draftsmen to ensure accurate, high-quality technical drawings and plans for infrastructure projects.

  • Collaboration with Professional Land Surveyors: Coordinate with surveyors and field teams to verify data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

  • Technology and Standards Leadership: Maintain drafting templates and standards and leverage advanced tools to optimize processes and outputs.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).

  • Experience: 10-15 years in survey drafting, with a focus on civil and municipal projects, and significant supervisory experience.

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS platforms, and Pipeline Networks, plus familiarity with surveying tools and technologies.

  • Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
