    CNO Financial Group is hiring a Producer, Media Services who is accountable for the full production lifecycle, from strategy to execution, for the audio/visual presentation elements of in-person and virtual broadcast events. The role partners with event planners, internal clients and external vendors to plan, design, and produce audio/visual presentations, staged and virtual broadcast events for the Company. Events include in-person meetings and seminars, internal Town Halls and external corporate briefings, and internal speaker events over Zoom, Teams and other platforms.

    This role collaborates with IT, Field Sales, Corporate Communications, Investor Relations, Marketing and senior leadership to recommend and implement scalable, in-house solutions that reduce cost and vendor dependence-often setting new standards for internal production capabilities. The role is responsible for bridging gaps between technical teams and creative vision.

    Core responsibilities and deliverables:

    Virtual & In-Person Event Support
    • Own the design and execution of the audio/visual elements of staged in-person events including but not limited to business sessions, awards galas, and entertainment staging in collaboration with meeting planners, executive and senior leadership clients.

    • Creates detailed room layouts using room layout software to ensure optimal spatial planning for all events; recommends venue viability and event success by translating complex production requirements into precise, actionable diagrams.

    • Creates cost estimates/budgets and procures necessary A/V needs, including contracting vendors and broadcast production partners.

    • Serve as lead audio/visual producer/director for in-person events readying presentations, videos, cameras, audio and video cues.

    • Provide guidance on production design and equipment needs in support of executing events.

    • Serve as Producer for both live in-person events and virtual broadcast events, which includes calling the show, running graphics and videos, and audio 2 engineer.

    • Manage internal and external resources delegating roles to different internal/external teams including: Event Marketing, Communications, and Learning Media, managing rehearsals and providing post event feedback to ensure ongoing improvements.

    • Optimize presenter audio/video quality within environmental limitations, lead rehearsals; provide live support and troubleshooting during events, escalating issues as needed.

    • Collaborate with meeting planners and client leads in review and approve technical specifications and space requirements of on-location events.

    Creative Production
    • Produce promotional events videos, large field meeting openers, and recognition of top branch sales producers
    • Create concepts, scripts, production plans, cost estimates and talent reviews; procure and managing crew, crew travel and on-site schedules.

    • Direct video production; perform post-shoot editing;produce and edit design graphics and musical accompaniments as directed from clients and brand teams.

    Technology & Equipment
    • Provide in-depth knowledge and training on software, technology, and A/V equipment.

    • Research and recommend streaming or videoconferencing platforms/methods; oversee setup ensure presenters and team members are prepared and comfortable with the technology

    • Execute videoconference stream support including call set-up, end user training, troubleshooting, and escalation follow-through.

    • Determine equipment needs, oversee rental agreements and vendor management for audio, visual and lighting needs.

    • Onboard and train internal/external resources on equipment, technology and production best practices; Management of all A/V equipment

    • Research and create solutions that reduce hardware or software costs and continually search for new technologies that optimize production

    What you need (Minimum requirements):

    • Associates Degree in Communications, TV/Radio production, Marketing, or related discipline, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in supporting meetings including designing, staging and execution of audio / visual presentations and configuration & installation of audio visual systems.

    • Able to work in a hybrid capacity from our Chicago, IL or Carmel, IN corporate office, and travel ~40-60 days of the year for events, with some trips up to 10 days in length. Some international travel required.

    • Must be able to perform the physical demands of the role, including pushing carts over 100 lbs., lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs., working on ladders, and standing or walking for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation.

    • In-depth knowledge of AV system support: operation, installation, and configuration of projectors, amplifiers, AV matrix routers, control systems and touch panels; SDI, DVI, HDMI video/audio installation and cabling including termination

    • Proficient in Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Keynote, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

    • Expertise in video mixing software including Vmix, OBS, NDI, and Bitfocus Companion.

    • 5-7 years of experience years of experience with a track record of broad and growing responsibilities related to the execution of virtual events, live productions, staging, video engineering for large scale events and programs.

    • Solid tact and good judgment in communicating with representatives from external organizations, and vendors.

    • Strong ability to work with associates with all levels of the organization on system functionality, project issues, and planning.

    • Solid problem escalation support and issue resolution; follows-up on service challenges and works with the clients to take corrective action.
