Associate, Clinical Operations Analytics
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
The Southeast Permanente Medical Group (TSPMG) is one of Georgia's largest independent, physician-owned, multi-specialty medical groups. More than 700 physicians and 300 associate practitioners work together in a unique integrated care model to provide high-quality care to Kaiser Permanente members. Our focus is on long-term health through prevention, evidence-based care, and collaboration across more than 40 specialties.
Job Summary
The Associate, Clinical Operations Analytics leads analytical initiatives that support Clinical Operations across the organization. This role partners with business leaders, project managers, and stakeholders to translate business questions into actionable insights through data analysis, reporting, and strategic recommendations. The Consultant serves as a subject matter expert on clinical data, drives operational improvements, and provides mentorship to analysts while managing multiple high-impact projects.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Develop complex SQL queries and leverage enterprise data sources to deliver accurate, meaningful insights.
  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of reporting and analytics projects supporting Clinical Operations.
  • Analyze and interpret complex clinical and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable recommendations.
  • Serve as a clinical data subject matter expert and provide consultative support to operational leaders and project teams.
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding project status, timelines, risks, and deliverables.
  • Ensure reporting solutions comply with organizational standards, change management processes, and reporting governance.
  • Support process improvement initiatives through data-driven decision making.
  • Coach and mentor analysts and other team members while fostering best practices in analytics and reporting.
  • Participate on cross-functional teams supporting strategic and operational initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Statistics, Accounting, Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in reporting, analytics, or business intelligence, preferably within healthcare.
  • At least 5 years of experience writing and optimizing SQL queries.
  • Experience managing analytical requests and developing reporting solutions for business stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data, medical terminology, diagnosis codes, and procedure codes.
  • Experience translating operational workflows into reporting and data requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings to leaders and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Information Systems, Business, Statistics, Management, or a related field.
  • Epic Clarity Certification.
  • Experience supporting Clinical Operations analytics within a healthcare environment.
