General Description and Classification Standards Analyze complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. This is an experienced professional capable of carrying out most assignments typical of the profession with limited guidance or review. This level would be considered a promotional level and attainable by any incumbents in a work group who demonstrate the necessary knowledge, ability, and performance. Could be the only professional in this specialty in a workgroup. Supervision Received Performs work under general supervision with review and advice from a manager or a senior level.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities These are typical responsibilities for this position and should not be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. May perform other duties as assigned. Analyzes business problems to be solved with automated systems. Partners with senior leadership of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost-effective and meet user requirements. Configures system settings and options. Plans and executes business unit, integration, and acceptance testing. Must have experience developing project plans, including a project plan that includes the charter, scope, project management approach, management plans, statement of work, cost estimates, and schedule; working with cross-functional teams and staff Creating specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Designs details of automated systems. May provide consultation to users regarding automated systems. Decision Making Performs work under general supervision with review and advice from a manager or senior level Leadership Provided Informal or review. It may be an informal team leader or review work of less experienced professionals or support staff.
