Debt Finance Associate AttorneyAmLaw 50 OpportunityCompensation

$225,000 – $260,000

A leading international law firm is seeking a Debt Finance Associate Attorney to join its Chicago office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing lenders, borrowers, and private equity sponsors in sophisticated debt financing transactions.

Ideal Background

1–3 years of debt finance, banking, or commercial finance experience gained at a large law firm

• Experience representing lenders, borrowers, and/or private equity sponsors in debt financing transactions

• Experience with secured lending transactions, including drafting, negotiating, and closing financing transactions

• Experience preparing and managing transaction documents, closing checklists, and issues lists

• Working knowledge of Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code required

• Experience with acquisition financings, commitment letters, debt securities offerings, high-yield offerings, and/or convertible notes is preferred

• Familiarity with general corporate law principles

• Strong drafting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple sophisticated transactions simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail

• Excellent academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

• Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted
