Job description

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

Position: Production Supervisor- 2nd Shift

Location: Lincoln, Missouri

Reports To: Manager, Operations

Remote Type: On-Site

Shift: Mon - Thursday from 4 p.m. - 2:30 a.m.

Summary

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to lead and develop a team of manufacturing associates while driving performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. This role is responsible for achieving daily production goals, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, developing team members, and fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a safe work environment

  • Check production results and report results through designated methods

  • Conduct daily meetings with Team Leader's

  • Participating in Value Stream meetings

  • Confirm routine quality checks

  • Audit for adherence to Team Member Standard Work

  • Check adherence to Team Leader Standard Work

  • Help cover Team Leader absence

  • Perform Leader Standard Work tasks

  • Administrative: policy, attendance, corrective action, disciplinary action

  • Oversee manpower/vacation scheduling

  • Assist with monthly production planning

  • Assure good coordination between shifts

  • Lead process trials (for changes in process)

  • Maintain and improve team morale

  • Oversee with Team Member development and cross-training

  • Manage cost reduction activities

  • Lead process improvement projects: productivity, quality, ergonomics, etc.

  • Coordinate with support department for desired activities

  • Coordinate linkages to upstream and downstream processes

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Responsibilities in roles, policies, agreements, regulations, safety rules, schedules, interdepartmental relationships

  • Knowledge of Work in products or services provided, standards, technical skills, materials, tools, equipment, works standards and work methods

  • Skill in Leading with ability to motivate, empower, develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships, and ability to resolve conflict fairly and proactively

  • Ability to anticipate and proactively address changes in output, attitudes and relationships

  • Skill in Improving with ability to recognize improvement potential, make an improvement plan, follow through, monitor results, and learn from outcome.

  • Proficiency to make small, incremental, daily improvements

  • Skill in Teaching with ability to develop well-trained work force, ability to transfer knowledge, and ability to create experiential learning opportunities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience leading teams in a lean manufacturing environment.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience with performance management and employee development.

  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement training.

  • Experience leading Kaizen events.

  • ERP or manufacturing software experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, as needed to support business and production requirements.

  • Must be able to traverse the production facility (physical movement, operational awareness, and regulatory compliance).

  • Must be able to stand for multiple hours at a time on concrete flooring

  • Ability to utilize hand tools and other equipment in area of supervision.

  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds at a time.
