Job description

EUC/Desktop Engineer
The Desktop Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organizations end-user computing environment. This includes managing desktop hardware, software, and related infrastructure, ensuring a secure and efficient user experience. The role involves both hands-on support and participation in desktop-related projects and automation initiatives.
Essential Functions:
• Design Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows desktop and laptop systems.
• Package and deploy software using tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) or Intune.
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated desktop support issues (Tier 2/3).
• Maintain and update desktop images and configuration baselines.
• Apply security patches and updates to endpoint systems.
• Assist with Active Directory user and group management.
• Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
• Collaborate with IT teams on endpoint security, compliance, and lifecycle management.
• Participate in hardware refreshes, OS upgrades, and software rollouts.
• Participate in after-hours support rotation and respond to critical incidents as needed.
Experience:
• 24 years of experience in desktop support or engineering.
• Proficiency with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Experience with endpoint management tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune, Autopilot).
• Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell preferred) for automation tasks.
• Understanding of networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware Horizon, Citrix) is a plus.
• Experience with MacOS and Linux endpoints is a plus.
• Microsoft certifications (MD-102, MS-100, MS-101) a plus.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices and service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Windows server experience a plus.
• Knowledge of VMWare is a plus.
