Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to join our cloud infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS Cloud, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Python automation, and DevOps practices. This role focuses on designing, implementing, automating, and supporting highly available AWS infrastructure while ensuring security, scalability, and operational excellence. The engineer will collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to build and maintain enterprise cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, administer, and maintain enterprise AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop automation solutions using Python and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Build and support highly available, scalable, and secure cloud environments.
  • Perform cloud provisioning, infrastructure upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar DevOps tools.
  • Automate infrastructure deployment, configuration management, and operational processes.
  • Monitor AWS infrastructure using Splunk, CloudWatch, and enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis across cloud, infrastructure, networking, and application layers.
  • Manage Linux (RHEL) and Windows servers in cloud environments.
  • Design and implement cloud security best practices, IAM policies, networking, and access controls.
  • Support API integrations, Web Services, and API Gateway implementations.
  • Create infrastructure architecture documents, process flows, and technical documentation.
  • Work closely with architects, developers, security, and operations teams throughout the SDLC.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend modernization opportunities.
Required Skills
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, Lambda, etc.)
  • 4+ years of experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer
  • AWS Certification (Associate or Professional preferred)
  • Strong experience with Python scripting and automation
  • Expertise in Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
  • Experience with DevOps processes, CI/CD, and Release Management
  • Experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
  • Strong Linux (RHEL) administration experience
  • Knowledge of Windows Server administration
  • Experience with cloud monitoring tools such as Splunk or similar platforms
  • Experience with Web Services, REST APIs, API Gateways, and application integration
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and production support experience
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
