This role is part of Alcon's Engineering function, a team focused on improving quality, processes, products, packaging and materials across our business to help deliver brilliant outcomes.
The Associate, Automation Technical Support, is primarily responsible for applying technical expertise to test, install, and maintain automation/SCADA systems, including hardware, controllers, HMI, networks, communication, database, and software. You will support project goals by completing tasks effectively and staying updated with automation and SCADA advancements.
Specifics include:
  • Apply technical knowledge to test, install, and maintain automation/SCADA systems, including input/output signal hardware, controllers, HMI, networks, communication, database, and software.
  • Support project goals through effective task completion, following established procedures with some decision-making authority.
  • Stay current with advances in automation and SCADA technologies.
  • Adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining accurate and complete documentation.
  • Ensure rigorous quality control and complete all required training.
  • Meet individual job requirements and contribute to the overall compliance of the organization, committing to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 3 Years of Relevant Experience
  • Work Schedule: A shift; 12-hour rotating day shift; 4 days on; 4 days off; 6:00am-6:00pm
