Job Summary: The Automation Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automated systems and machinery. This role requires a strong understanding of control systems, programming, and various automation technologies to ensure optimal performance of our automated processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Install, configure, and maintain automated equipment, including PLCs, HMI systems, sensors, and robotics.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on automated systems.
  3. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on automation equipment to enhance reliability.
  4. Collaborate with engineers and production staff to develop and implement automation solutions tailored to specific processes.
  5. Document all maintenance and repair activities, creating and maintaining accurate logs and reports.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in automation and control systems.
  7. Provide technical support and training to production personnel on the operation of automated equipment.
  8. Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols within the automation area.

Qualifications:

  1. Associate's degree in Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  2. Proven experience in an automation technician role or a similar position.
