Job description

PalAmerican is seeking a detail-oriented Fleet Adjuster to manage vehicle accident and damage claims for our company-owned and leased fleet. This role serves as the primary point of contact for claims from initial incident reporting through repair, recovery, and closure.

The ideal candidate has experience in automotive claims, fleet operations, insurance adjusting, collision repair, or a related field and excels at coordinating multiple stakeholders while maintaining accurate documentation and controlling costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage vehicle accident and damage claims from intake through resolution.
  • Coordinate with drivers, branch teams, insurance carriers, repair facilities, and vendors.
  • Review incident reports, estimates, invoices, photos, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Track claim progress, vehicle downtime, repair timelines, and recovery opportunities.
  • Coordinate repairs, inspections, rentals, towing, and return-to-service activities.
  • Support subrogation and recovery efforts involving third parties and insurers.
  • Maintain accurate claim records and fleet documentation.
  • Analyze claims and accident trends to identify opportunities for loss prevention and process improvement.
  • Prepare reports on claims activity, repair costs, vehicle downtime, and recovery performance.

Qualifications

Preferred Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in auto claims, fleet operations, insurance adjusting, collision repair, risk management, or a related field.
  • Experience working with insurance carriers, repair vendors, and vehicle damage claims.
  • Experience supporting a commercial fleet environment is a plus.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple claims and deadlines simultaneously.
