Description
This person will be responsible for computer hardware and software installation, maintenance and support for instruction and administration. This person will also assist in audio visual design installation and maintenance.

Minimum Job Requirements
  • Relevant Associate degree in related field preferred.
  • Education or experience in computer and audio visual support required. Minimum of two years experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, installing, and upgrading of computer and audio visual equipment preferred.
  • High degree of competency within the pc/audio visual support field. A good understanding of several computer application packages is desirable. Must be willing to learn new technologies.
  • High level of oral and written communication skills are important. Must be able to work effectively with users at all competency levels.

Work Performed
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems, relating to computer equipment, printers, audio visual, etc., including software and hardware problems.
  • Establish minimum documentation standards and update these as changes occur.
  • Assist in maintaining an up-to-date inventory of all computer equipment, supplies and software.
  • Install computer hardware and software at the various areas of the college.
  • Perform routine computer maintenance and help coordinate the maintenance of all computer equipment.
  • Furnish computer hardware and software support to staff.
  • Communicate to and educate staff members in the use of computer hardware, software, and audio visual applications.
  • Assist in coordinating the installation of appropriate software for educational departments, both day and evening classes.
  • Facilitate computer and audio visual moves, additions and changes as required.
  • Install computer and audio visual equipment such as laptop, desktop, printers, projectors, televisions, etc.
  • Keep informed as to developments and trends in the above listed fields
  • Train and mentor on existing and new technologies being implemented in all the learning spaces with faculty and staff
  • Promote, develop, and suggest improved methods of delivery of course content and instruction as it relates to the above pieces of technology.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance at work.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.
