Job Description

Role: IT Solutions Architect - Enterprise Integrations (Contract for Hire)

Location: Hybrid in Oak Park Heights, MN

Rate: $88 - $94/hour W2, dependent on skills and qualifications

Role Summary:

Lead the design, and implementation of enterprise-wide integration strategy solutions across diverse platforms and environments. Ensure seamless data flow and interoperability between internal systems, third-party applications, and cloud services.

Key Responsibilities

Influence and Change Leadership: Proven ability to influence technology strategy and architectural decisions across large organizations. Skilled at communicating complex technical concepts to executive leaders, business stakeholders, architects, and engineers. Capable of driving organizational change, challenging the status quo, building consensus among diverse stakeholder groups, and leading adoption of new processes, standards, and technologies. Demonstrated success operating autonomously and translating strategic objectives into actionable outcomes while building strong networks of influence across the enterprise.

  • Effectively communicate the value, business outcomes, and risk mitigation associated with technology investments and architectural modernization initiatives.
  • Define integration strategies and enterprise modernization of its integration architecture with a focus on Event Driven Architecture (i.e. Kafka) and external data sharing.
  • Architect and implement integration frameworks and solutions using Azure, MuleSoft, messaging queues, REST/SOAP, EDI, SFTP, and database adapters.
  • Define and enforce integration patterns, security protocols, and governance models.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable integration designs.
  • Monitor and optimize integration performance using tools like Anypoint Platform, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Key Vault.
  • Oversee design enterprise integration capabilities between related manufacturing application platforms.
  • Accountable to ensure architectural diagrams are created in support of major system‑to‑system integration flows.
  • Provide advanced technical expertise, oversight and accountability for resolution of outages, service level issues and other events in partnership with support teams.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in integration technologies.
Required Skills
  • Deep understanding of SOA, microservices, and cloud‑native integration development practices.
  • Experience with Event Driven Architecture.
  • Proficiency in Azure Integration services, API management, and IAM.
  • Experience with internal platform integration (ERP, CRM, and financial systems integration), and external business integrations.
  • Effective writing and communication skills and creating presentations and documenting architecture roadmaps, and strategic recommendations.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling business language that enables informed decision‑making at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years in enterprise architecture or integration roles.
  • Proven experience with Azure (APIM, Functions, Azure Service Bus), MuleSoft Anypoint Platform development and architecture design.
  • Strong understanding of integration technologies including Azure, MuleSoft, and B2B integrations.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
