Expected pay for this position is $39.13 - $51.21/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
This is an Hourly position.
$18,000 Sign on Bonus
OSF will invest in you on day 1! Candidates with 5+ years of direct experience will receive 24 hours of Vacation and Holiday time that will be available for use beginning day 1. This is in addition to our generous time-off benefits.
Overview
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Associate in allied health that is patient care related or bachelor's degree (any major) OR Completion of an Accredited Sonographer Program OR Approved by the ARDMS or CCI governing body to sit for the certification. Licensure/ Certification: American Heart Association HealthCare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) required before providing patient care. Must obtain Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within two (2) years of hire OR credentialed within 2 years if within an accredited lab, if applicable. Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Associate's degree in allied health that is patient care related or Bachelor's degree (any major) OR Completion of an Accredited Sonographer Program.
Experience:
- 1 year experience in transthoracic echocardiology
Licensure/ Certification:
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association,
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) in 1 patient population (Adult, Pediatrics, Fetal).
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development as well as the physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of the patient population served.
- Knowledge of echocardiology techniques and skills to independently perform transthoracic echocardiogram procedures in one patient population.
- Requires analytical ability to recognize anatomic abnormalities, adjust equipment settings to appropriately target the ultrasound and identify irregularities during ultrasound and notify appropriate personnel.
