Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
  • Provides routine and advanced respiratory care procedures to critical and non-critical patients.

EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:;
Minimum Required:
  • Associate Degree in Applied Science in Respiratory Care from an approved school of respiratory therapy technology.
  • Registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP are required; renewals required per requirements.
  • Possess a valid NC Respiratory Care License

Preferred:
  • Bachelors Degree in Respiratory Therapy and previous acute care experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.

ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
  • Incumbent must demonstrate an ability to apply age-appropriate principles of communication and clinical practice relevant to unique needs of neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Incumbent must demonstrate competence in the use of equipment and application of procedures before being allowed to perform independently.
