The Associate Scientist performs analytical research and development activities supporting product and process development, regulatory filings, and new product launches. Responsibilities include analytical testing, method development, method transfer, method verification, method validation, routine release and stability testing, and providing analytical results with data interpretation throughout feasibility, development, technology transfer, registration, and validation phases.
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Life Sciences (Analytical Chemistry preferred).
- At least 1 year of analytical testing/research experience using HPLC, GC, UV, or related analytical techniques.
Key Skills
- Knowledge of analytical chemistry calculations, chromatographic techniques (LC/GC), UV analysis, and basic statistical data analysis.
- Experience with laboratory documentation, analytical testing, and data interpretation.
- Understanding of ICH guidelines, photostability, dose dump, solubility, polymorphism, and hygroscopy studies.
- Ability to perform accurate testing, follow SOPs, maintain laboratory safety, and work with chemicals safely.
- Strong communication, organizational, multitasking, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to support manufacturing timelines while maintaining quality, compliance, and laboratory housekeeping.
