Job description

Role

We need an experienced Legal Analyst to support the U.S. Department of Justice with healthcare fraud and opioid-related cases. This is a full-time opportunity in which weโ€™ll provide competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and job stability and security.

Responsibilities
  • Perform standard legal support job responsibilities
  • Assist with pleadings, discovery, briefs, bankruptcy petitions, etc.
  • Perform critical thinking and analytical activities
  • Review legal instruments
  • Verify that legal information is complete and accurate
  • Confirm that legal information is ready for proper execution
  • Assist attorneys and legal support staff
  • Conduct legal research for cases
  • Gather facts for cases and routine reports
  • Use legal databases for research and discovery
  • Evaluate and determine the correction of an action
  • Research legal records to ascertain conditions that might preclude an action
  • Help with scanning, exporting and importing data, etc.
  • Perform initial review of petitions
  • Support case management
  • Maintain case files
  • Prepare memorandums, reports and correspondence
  • Take notes and prepare follow-on documentation
  • Work with technologies such as but not limited to IPRO, CaseMap, QuickBooks, and Microsoft

Specific vision abilities required by this job include the use of computer monitor screens up to 100% of the time.
