Job Summary

Havel is seeking a Project Sales Engineer. In this position, you will be responsible for providing knowledge and consultation of HVAC, piping and electrical systems. You will work with customers to provide solutions to repair and retrofit opportunities, including financial and energy-based solutions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Estimate, engineer, and sell retrofit, repair, and replacement mechanical projects 
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers and work as a team player with the members of management and the entire sales team
  • Project Sales Engineer will provide knowledge and consultation developing HVAC system solutions for the customer's problems, including financial and performance-based solutions; use cold calling skills to schedule appointments with new customers
  • Must be organized and possess good time management skills to prioritize workload; identifies key customers and develops specific action plans grow those accounts
  • Consistently discovers customer needs and current market opportunities; assembles and coordinates sales team as needed for customers and projects
  • Identifies potential opportunities with existing and new customers
  • Converts leads into opportunities by identifying the appropriate sales course of action, assembling the required sales team members, and leading the steps in the sale process
  • Develops multiple relationships with buying influences within the customer's organization which may include the facility manager, project managers, or purchasing agent
  • Is successful at maintaining an acceptable rate of new sales
  • Other duties assigned
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in engineering, engineering technology, business management or equivalent and three to five years of experience in facilities or HVAC services; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, piping system for design, estimating and sales
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word & other Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Mathematical and financial skills
  • Enjoy business development aspects of networking and attending industry events
  • Strong understanding and interest in modern technologies
  • Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
