About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and provide timely reporting to support business decisions. This role is responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, deposits, financial reporting, budgeting support, and maintaining strong internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily accounting operations in accordance with established accounting principles and company procedures.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing, account reconciliation, and accurate recordkeeping.
  • Reconcile daily cash activity and customer payments; prepare and complete deposits as needed.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, financial reports, and periodic management reports.
  • Prepare timely financial statements and summarize account information for leadership review.
  • Assist with tax-related documentation, balance sheet support, profit and loss reporting, and other financial analysis.
  • Review financial transactions and help maintain accounting control procedures.
  • Protect confidential financial information and maintain secure records.
  • Stay informed of applicable federal and state financial policies, regulations, and reporting requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial procedures, and recordkeeping practices.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience with QuickBooks preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Reliable transportation, if required for bank deposits, business errands, or work at multiple locations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience preparing budgets, forecasts, reconciliations, and financial reports.
  • Knowledge of federal and state accounting regulations and reporting requirements.
Work Environment
This position is primarily office-based. The Accounting Manager may occasionally support operations in outdoor work areas and may be exposed to temperature extremes, sun, wind, rain, snow, ice, or other weather conditions depending on business needs.
Physical Requirements
