Associate Accountant Position Purpose

Responsible for various Accounting Department functions, primarily focusing on equipment sales processing and sales commission calculations.

Accountant Essential Functions

  • Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal
  • Receives and reviews equipment sales documentation submitted for processing
  • Processes equipment sales invoices
  • Calculates commissions that are due on equipment sales
  • Reviews financial statements for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
  • Ensures consistent and reliable on-site attendance

Associate Accountant Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Two (2) or more years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Adept at organizing, planning, and completing tasks to manage a high volume of department paperwork
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to resolve issues independently
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based applications
  • Exceptional Interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills

Associate Accountant Physical Requirements

  • Lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds without assistance
