Position

The Associate Account Manager is a developmental role designed to support the growth and knowledge required to become an Account Manager. This role works closely with their Sales Director and peers to develop sales skills and product knowledge as it pertains to the Relevant Solutions portfolio. This is a remote position, requiring coverage of Relevant clients in the Austin Territory. The position requires ongoing communication with the sales team, customers, and suppliers to foster territory development and professional growth.

Responsibilities

Works with the Sales Director and peers to set specific goals for their development, including working with individual Account Managers to develop sales strategies and product knowledge

Travels throughout assigned territory to develop effective customer relationships and grow territory revenue, with an emphasis on improving selling skills and identifying customer and product targets

Works with the Sales Director, Product Specialists, and Vendors to develop technical knowledge and selling skills

Attends all training opportunities provided by the company (virtual and in-person)

Tracks and updates account development, customer data, and sales opportunities utilizing electronic sales management tools (CRM) 

Represents the company at trade shows and customer events to promote Relevant Solutions 

Prepares periodic sales presentations showcasing product knowledge and professional development

Requirements

Qualifications

2-4 year degree from trade school, college, or university required

Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, business development, or a relevant field; combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Prior experience in industrial distribution, semi-conductor, food & beverage, material packaging, or power generation industries is preferred

Must be able to pass background screening check for entry into secure facilities


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong written and oral communication skills

Demonstrated proficiency in creating and delivering effective presentations.

Positive attitude, self-motivated, confident, and persistent

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite


Physical Requirements

Primarily sitting at computer, in the vehicle or in meetings

Occasional lifting of demo items or equipment up to 50 pounds

Primarily indoors with occasional extreme temperatures within industrial environments

Some walking inside of plants and refineries

Heavy computer and phone usage daily

Must be able to drive and ride in a vehicle for extended travel times.
