Job description

The Associate Product Design Engineer is responsible for aiding in the development of temperature sensors, mechanical and fluid system components, and systems that will become the new products of Conax Technologies. Assists in the planning, selection, adaptation and modification of standard and nonstandard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. Will be responsible for utilizing engineering resources to gain engineering expertise for product design concepts in order to develop new and improve existing products.
  • Works closely with CAD Operation team to develop drawings and establish Bill of materials.
  • Works closely with Manufacturing team to understand different internal processes and Assembly techniques.
  • Supports the development of Manufacturing fixturing as needed.
  • Designs and develops product specifications to meet customer expectations as defined in project contracts.
  • Designs and specifies fit, form, and function of product components.
  • Develops new product requirements through consulting with customers and Sales team.
  • Researches, analyzes, designs, and tests component parts, processes, or systems to develop new or improve core products.

  • Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering
  • Knowledge in design analysis tools, including basic knowledge in stress analysis tools (commercial FEA software) and strong understanding in strength of materials and material selection.
  • Experience in using 2D and 3D commercial CAD packages
