Automotive Assistant Controller / Accounting Manager
Compensation: $75,000 - $100,000+ per year based on experience
A growing automotive group is seeking an experienced Automotive Assistant Controller / Accounting Manager to join our leadership team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dealership accounting professional looking to take the next step in their career with a growing organization. The ideal candidate will have automotive accounting experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Assist with month-end and year-end financial statement preparation
โ€ข Maintain and reconcile accounting schedules and general ledger accounts
โ€ข Review and process dealership transactions for accuracy
โ€ข Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory accounting
โ€ข Assist with payroll and commission processing
โ€ข Reconcile floorplan and vehicle inventory accounts
โ€ข Maintain manufacturer receivables and warranty schedules
โ€ข Support internal controls and accounting process improvements
โ€ข Assist with audits and financial reporting requirements
โ€ข Work closely with dealership leadership on financial analysis and operational reporting
Qualifications:
โ€ข Automotive dealership accounting experience preferred
โ€ข Experience with Dealertrack, CDK, or similar dealership management systems strongly preferred
โ€ข Strong understanding of dealership accounting and financial statements
โ€ข Excellent organizational and time management skills
โ€ข Strong Microsoft Excel skills
โ€ข High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
โ€ข Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
