About the role
This is a NON Travel Local Site Role- Vestas 2MW Platform -Exp Required
The Wind Technician II takes a leading role in troubleshooting, project scheduled maintenance, unscheduled maintenance, inspection, and operations on a U.S. wind site. Plays a role in mentoring Wind Technician I employees. Meets or exceeds contractual, company, and project requirements. Conducts self in professional, ethical, and respectful manner to peers, managers, and clients. This position is ideal for experienced field technicians seeking growth and autonomy.
This is a NON Travel, Local Site Role, located in Tiago, ND- Vestas 2MW Platform
What You'll Do:
  • Perform equipment assessment and troubleshooting, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and/or service activities.
  • Document accurately all service activity, including parts/materials consumption, detailed task explanations, and task start and stop times using digital reporting systems.
  • Train and mentor technician I in health, safety and environmental requirements, service activities, and preventative maintenance requirements.
  • Assist in project(s) coordination, logistics, planning, and tracking for multi-project work tasks.
  • Participate in company and project health, safety and environmental, meetings, briefings and documentation requirements.
  • Communicate issues and solutions concisely to leadership.
  • Adheres to, supports, and enforces all company policies.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, peers, and managers at the company and projects.
  • Work with Inventory Control to make sure projects are supplied properly with parts and consumables.
  • Able to participate and respond in an On-Call 24/7/365 rotation schedule
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications / Requirements:
  • 2+ years of wind turbine maintenance, service, and repair experience.
  • Vestas platform experience, LOTO, and certifications preferred (V100 & V110)
  • Strong understanding of wind turbine systems and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and travel on short notice to assist on other projects.
  • Comfortable climbing to and working at heights, confined spaces, and in outdoor environments.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Willingness to travel from time to time for training or to assist on other projects.
  • Willingness to train and mentor other employees.

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Successful background check, MVR, and drug screen required.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:
This role requires regular work at heights, confined spaces, physical stamina, and the ability to work a rotational on call schedule. Applicants must adhere to site safety practices and perform in variable outdoor environments.

As needed for training and to assist on other projects if necessary
