Position Summary
As an EMT, you will provide high-quality patient care, operate emergency vehicles safely, and respond to 911 calls and medical transport requests. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about emergency medicine and serving their communities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls promptly and professionally
  • Assess, treat, and stabilize patients according to EMT protocols and state EMS guidelines
  • Safely operate ambulances and maintain compliance with all driving regulations
  • Document all patient care activities accurately in electronic reporting systems
  • Assist paramedics and other EMS personnel as needed
  • Maintain medical equipment, supplies, and vehicle cleanliness
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, hospital staff, and patients
Qualifications
  • Current EMT certification (state or national registry)
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • CPR certification (AHA or equivalent)
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs
  • Strong communication and patient-care skills
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in stressful situations
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
  • Previous EMS or ambulance experience
  • EVOC or CEVO certification
  • AEMT or Paramedic coursework in progress
Work Environment
  • Fast-paced EMS setting
  • Exposure to varied weather conditions and emergency scenarios
  • Frequent standing, lifting, and patient movement
