Job Title: Assistant Manager - Sales

Location: Chicago Area, Illinois

Job Type: Full-Time (Home Office Arrangement)

Summary Of Responsibilities
  • Manage sales and marketing functions to drive business growth and increase profits.
  • Achieve sales budgets and analyze monthly sales performance.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and prepare sales reports for upper management.
  • Serve customers by selling services, meeting their needs, and resolving problems.
  • Generate new accounts by calling leads and prospects.
  • Expand sales with current customers and arrange appointments with potential and existing customers.
  • Enter customer data into internal web applications and databases.
  • Compile leads and prospects through internet research.
  • Analyze customer freight activity and offer appropriate pricing agreements.
  • Assist with monitoring international and domestic shipments.
  • Engage and support in-house agents through phone and email communication.
  • Generate activity reports and report sales to management.
  • Process incoming emails, electronic files, and faxes.
Associated Responsibilities
  • Receive phone calls and communicate with retail customers in English and Japanese.
  • Handle cargo, including receiving, inspection, sorting, labeling, packing, palletizing, and loading.
  • Maintain flexibility in work assignments.
  • Comply with, train for, and report to regulatory agencies, company safety and security programs, and company policies.
  • Execute inventory management, record-keeping, and reporting.
