Summary:
The Web Designer Student Worker will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining websites and web applications to support the department's digital presence. This role provides hands-on experience in front-end and back-end development, fostering the development of key career-ready skills in digital literacy, problem-solving, and communication.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain websites and web applications using HTML and other relevant programming languages.
- Collaborate with team members to gather requirements and translate them into functional, user-friendly web solutions.
- Optimize websites for performance, scalability, and responsiveness across devices and browsers.
- Debug and troubleshoot website issues to ensure functionality and usability.
- Implement updates, enhancements, and new features based on feedback and evolving needs.
- Ensure all web projects meet accessibility standards and align with Maryville's branding guidelines.
- Stay updated on web development trends, tools, and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with front-end development (HTML)

Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with WordPress is a plus.
