Job description

70%- Video Production & Editing
  • Produce and edit short- and long-form marketing and social media videos, including student and faculty profiles, research and study space features, recruitment pieces, strategic initiative videos, and other key message content.
10%- Content Ideation & Planning
  • Develop and pitch ideas for social media and other video content during communications team meetings.
10%- Team Collaboration
  • Collaborate with other student assistants on the College's communications team to support digital marketing projects.
5%- Event Marketing Support
  • Assist with marketing tasks related to events.
5%- Additional Communications Support
  • Perform other communication-related tasks as assigned.
,The Student Video Production Assistant will assist the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Dean's Office in producing video profiles, recruitment videos, motion graphics, and more, primarily featuring students and faculty in the College. The position requires experience in all aspects of video production, especially in the production phases. The videos will be professional quality for internal and external audiences, in addition to fun, casual videos for social media. You will work as part of the communications team with the assistant director of communications and the director of communications and marketing. In return, we will offer you hands-on, marketable training in a busy marketing and communications office, and the chance to play a creative role in promoting the University of Kansas.
