Description:

America’s Test Kitchen is seeking a passionate, visionary, and strategic Creative Producer to lead our Social Video team. If you are a master of visual storytelling, live and breathe social media, and know exactly how to translate a high-level social strategy into thumb-stopping short-form video, we want to hear from you!

As our Creative Producer, Social Video, you will own the creative vision and visual identity of our short-form content across all social platforms, with a particular focus on Instagram Reels and TikTok. You will lead a talented team of junior Social Video Strategists/Producers, ensuring that our social strategy is flawlessly executed through compelling, high-quality video. Working hand-in-hand with the Sr. Director of Social as well as the Production Project Manager, you will elevate our brand voice, drive engagement, and push the boundaries of culinary content on social media.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Creative Vision & Strategy Execution: Drive the overarching creative direction for all short-form video content. Partner closely with the Sr. Director of Social to ensure the broader social strategy is effectively and innovatively executed in every video we produce.
  • Visual Identity & Brand Consistency: Establish and maintain high aesthetic standards, visual tone, and storytelling guidelines across platforms. Ensure all video content is distinctly "America's Test Kitchen" while remaining optimized for platform-specific algorithms and trends.
  • Creative Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of 2-4 junior Social Video Strategists/Producers. Foster a highly collaborative, creative environment, providing clear direction and constructive feedback to elevate the team’s creative output and professional growth.
  • Content Innovation: Spearhead the ideation of fresh, original video formats, franchises, and concepts. Stay ahead of emerging social trends, tools, and creator culture, rapidly prototyping new content ideas to keep the brand relevant and engaging.
  • Strategic Collaboration & Insights: Work alongside the Social Video Production Manager to ensure workflows support creative excellence. Regularly review performance data and audience insights with the Social team to refine the creative strategy, doubling down on what works and pivoting when necessary.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in creative direction, video production, or multimedia storytelling for social media, with a strong portfolio of high-performing short-form video content (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts).
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to build trust and drive alignment across cross-functional teams—from Talent (Test Cooks) and creative/technical partners to marketing strategists and executive stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of scripting, producing and editing short-form videos.
  • Deep understanding of social media, platform algorithms, and how to design content that drives audience behaviors (shares, saves, etc.).
  • Proven track record of translating brand strategies into successful, visually cohesive video campaigns or content franchises.
  • Strong leadership and directorial skills with experience managing and mentoring a creative team, fostering a collaborative environment, and driving team performance.
ADDITIONAL QUALITIES
  • A sharp eye for detail, design, pacing, and storytelling in short-form video.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and energized by the fast-moving nature of social media.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and lead by example, nurturing a creative and productive team environment.
  • A passion for food, cooking, and culinary content that aligns with America’s Test Kitchen's mission and audience.

This position is located in our Boston, MA office in the Seaport district. It is the expectation that the person in this role will work a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) in the office and 2 days per week remotely.

Salary Range:
