WIS is looking for a motivated, multiskilled Editor/Photojournalist to join our top-rated news team. Candidates must display competence in video editing and shooting video on professional cameras. This is a part-time position that includes weekends.

WIS is looking for a motivated, multiskilled Editor/Photojournalist to join our top-rated news team. Candidates must display competence in video editing and shooting video on professional cameras. This is a part-time position that includes weekends.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the editorial quality, accuracy, and timeliness of news content across our television broadcasts. Must be able to gather news assignments on your own or as part of a team. Responsible for maintaining assigned camera gear, operating Live U's, posting video clips to the web, and other duties as assigned.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Edit video for newscasts using non-linear editing systems (Edius, Premiere Pro, or similar)
• Operate professional cameras, microphones, and basic lighting equipment
• Maintain equipment
• Shoot and edit video as assigned
• Gather and submit information and visuals for digital platforms
• Execute live shots using LiveU and ENG technology
• Contribute to the entire editorial process, including sourcing, enterprising, gathering, story construction, and presentation

Qualifications/Requirements:

• College degree preferred
• Two years of related experience
• Candidate must have a proven ability to post content on social media platforms
• Working knowledge of non-linear editing systems
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Flexible work hours required
• Must be willing and able to work a variety of shifts, including but not limited to: mornings, afternoons, evenings, late nights, holidays, and weekends
• Ability to work in varied environments
• Must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record
