How You Will Have an Impact at Kinder's:

The Video Editor at Kinder's will play a pivotal role in our efforts to scale our content production efforts as part of our ongoing transition to more brand-focused storytelling in our marketing approach. In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Content Producer, Video Content Producer, and other creative and production team members to support the coordination and execution of branded visual content.

The Video Editor will be responsible for working with Senior Creative Leaders to evolve and coordinate the content post-production process to ensure that all assets are delivered on schedule and with the highest standards as befits our brand. This role requires a results-oriented team member with strong creative skills, an ability to embrace the Company's brand voice, a willingness to roll up their sleeves and solve problems in real-time, strong communication skills, personal accountability, and the desire to be innovative in their approaches. This role will report to the Company's Senior Content Producer.

Key Responsibilities:Content Production & Execution:
  • Edit high-quality video content across multiple formats, including brand campaigns, social media, digital ads, e-commerce, internal content, and product storytelling.
  • Assemble raw footage, select takes, and craft compelling edits that align with brand voice and visual standards.
  • Perform color correction, audio editing, and sound mixing to ensure broadcast-ready quality.
  • Add motion graphics, lower thirds, titles, captions, and simple animations when needed.
  • Maintain consistency with brand guidelines, tone, and visual identity across all edits.
  • Incorporate feedback efficiently while maintaining creative integrity and production timelines.
  • Ensure timely delivery of final assets, including proper versioning for different platforms and formats.
Project & Workflow Management:
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, often with overlapping deadlines, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization.
  • Take ownership of projects from initial edit through final delivery, sometimes with minimal supervision.
  • Organize media assets, project files, and archives to ensure easy access and long-term usability.
  • Follow established workflows and naming conventions to support team efficiency.
Self-Motivation & Continuous Improvement:
  • Work independently and proactively, identifying solutions and improvements without being asked.
  • Stay current on video trends, social platform best practices, and editing techniques relevant to consumer brands.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve efficiency, storytelling, and production quality.
Production Support:
  • Assist with on-set production support such as media management syncing audio or creating quick turnaround edits.
What You Bring to the Table:Education/Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience in video post-production and editing.
  • CPG or food industry experience a plus (but not required).
  • Strong and proven sense of storytelling and style in the medium of video across genres (long-form, documentary, instructional, social media, etc.)
  • Willingness to embrace our brand identity and how we present that identity to the public and our stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail with a passion for getting things right whatever it takes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to coordinate with a wide range of stakeholders and drive on-time project delivery.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in Davinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro or other comparable NLE software (broader experience with Adobe Creative Cloud a plus).
  • Experience with digital asset management (DAM) or content management system (CMS) tools a plus (we currently use Canto/ImageRelay).
  • Experience in managing Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Cloud-based file management systems.
  • Strong understanding of digital media file formats, camera and audio capture technology, aspect ratios and delivery requirements.
  • Strong understanding of production methodology and technology as well as typical on-set practices.

LOCATION AND TRAVEL:

The position will be based onsite in Walnut Creek, CA. We strongly believe in the power of culture and community and have a hybrid work structure with 4 days in the office on a weekly basis to encourage collaboration and personal connections that will allow us to better serve our customers and consumer and to have more fun. We have 1 flex day per week with employees having the opportunity to choose to be either in the office or to work from home based on what makes most sense for them and their teams. Some travel may be required for this role on an occasional basis, but likely with significant advance notice.

The expected starting salary range for this role is $115,000- $125,000 per year. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.
