Job description

Purpose

Theย Assistant Vice President of Finance and Operations serves as aย seniorย financial leader of Pine Crest School, reporting to theย VPย of Finance and Operations. The AVPย is responsible forย the stewardship, integrity, and continuous improvement of the schoolโ€™sย financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, internal controls, and financial systems.ย 

This role is designed for a collaborative, highcaliber leader who thrives in partnership - someone who brings both strategic perspective and operational rigor, and who values working within a strong executive structure. The AVPย will be a trusted advisor to VP of Finance and Operations and a key contributor to institutional planning and execution across the Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton campuses.ย ย ย 

Essential Job Functions

The AVPย provides leadership across the schoolโ€™sย internal financial functions.

  • Financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and multiyear financial modelingย 
  • Accounting operations, audit coordination, compliance, and internal controlsย 
  • Financial reporting, data analysis, and decision support for senior leadershipย 
  • Cash flow and treasury management, in partnership with the VPย 
  • Financial oversight and partnership with Facilities and Auxiliary Programs, including dining services and revenuegenerating operationsย 
  • Leadership and development of a highperforming finance team
  • Support for select institutional initiatives and special projects, in partnership with the VPย and senior leadershipย 

The AVPย plays a critical role in ensuring that Pine Crestโ€™s financial infrastructure, systems, and practices continue to support a complexย institution with clarity, discipline, and foresight.ย  This high-level leader will steward financial operations at a scale comparable to a small college, with significant responsibility, influence, and visibility.ย

Job Qualifications

Master's Degree in a related field preferred.
