Job description

Fill orders for unit doses and prepackaged pharmaceuticals and perform other related duties under the supervision and direction of a pharmacy supervisor or staff pharmacist. Duties include keeping records of drugs delivered to the pharmacy, storing incoming merchandise in proper locations, and informing the supervisor of stock needs and shortages. May clean equipment used in the performance of duties and assist in the care and maintenance of equipment and supplies.

Compensation Statement

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $31.00 - $31.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Non-Bargaining Unit, 184 - Pharmacy - MSH, Mount Sinai Hospital

1.   Assists pharmacist with preparing and dispensing medication. 
2.   Mixes pharmaceutical preparations, fills bottles with prescribed tablets and capsules and prepares labels for bottles. 
3.   Fills medications orders for individual patients under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
4.   Receives and stores incoming supplies. 
5.   Counts stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records. 
6.   Prepares intravenous (IV) medication using sterile technique under the supervision of hospital pharmacists.
