Job description

What You'll Do:
As a Community Turn Assistant, you'll play a key role in preparing our apartments for new residents during the turn season. You'll assist our leasing and maintenance teams to ensure a smooth transition and provide an outstanding living experience for our community members. This temporary, non-exempt position reports directly to the Property Manager.
Where You'll Work:
The Commons at Sawmill offers pet-friendly off-campus student apartments in Flagstaff, AZ, near NAU. With a variety of fully furnished studio, two-, and four-bedroom apartments situated less than one mile from Northern Arizona University. Apartments feature a modern appliance package, wood-style plank flooring, and a full-size washer and dryer. Residents come home to a new clubhouse with a fireplace, fitness center, game area, theater lounge, study area, and outdoor courtyard.
What You'll Own:
  • Support customer service efforts by providing exceptional assistance to current, future, and past residents.
  • Assist with the unit turnover process, ensuring apartments are ready for new residents.
  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of both interior and exterior areas of the property, proactively identifying and reporting issues. Examples of tasks include:
    • Picking up litter and debris from the grounds.
    • Watering plants, flowers, and shrubs to maintain landscaping.
    • Cleaning and maintaining swimming pool areas.
    • Sweeping, blowing, or pressure-washing breezeways, parking lots, and common areas.
  • Provide support to the office team by greeting prospects, conducting tours, and assisting with lease execution and move-in paperwork.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

What You'll Bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in English, including the ability to read and write fluently.
  • Basic computer skills for completing assigned tasks.
  • Physical ability to frequently walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and lift/move loads up to 50 lbs. Must be comfortable working with ladders.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to live within 30 miles of the property.
  • Willingness to obtain all licenses and/or certifications required by State or Local jurisdictions including but not limited to PA, IL, NJ and IA.
