Job description

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a UI/UX Developer.
Position type: Full Time - Contract role
Duration: 12 Months
Location: San Antonio, TX
As a UI/UX Developer, you will:
  • Research, design, develop, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of UX designs into the JavaScript/Java codebase ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs standards.
  • Act as designer-developer, switching hats in both the areas of design & develop, as Subject Matter Expert (SME) assisting with decision making for some high visibility on-going projects.
  • Create clean semantic HTML markup that passes WCAG & ADA/508 Accessibility standards & compliance.
  • Provide development and support to the customer-facing design system including new components, defects, accessibility, and page template.
  • Collaborate with analysts, developers and architects for successful implementation and component requirements
  • Remain current on user interface framework trends and programming techniques and suggest or research on new tools and methods as needed.
  • Design and maintain design files, wireframes, and mock-ups. Design and develop UI and UX interfaces and assist with new user interface testing or participate in usability reviews.
  • Hands on development on front end user frameworks (Vue.js, Angularjs, Reactjs, jQuery etc.)
  • Provide responsive websites apps development and support to the customer-facing design system including new components, defects, accessibility, and page templates.
  • Develop well-structured and maintainable code that follows the best practices and industry standards Work with team members to develop UI prototypes as necessary and validate ideas with a data-driven  approach.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Deep experience in front-end web application development with strong hands-on programming experience.
  • Experience with creating conceptual and detailed design solutions based on end user needs
  • Knowledge and software development with Adobe Experience Manager, SharePoint and WordPress CMS will be a plus.
  • Experience with creating conceptual and detailed design solutions based on end user needs.
  • Skills, knowledge, and experience using end to end Human centered design-HCD techniques including design, research, and usability.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • UI/UX design or web developer certifications & training.
  • Previous experience of the Electric and Gas Utility Industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or applicable business degree from an accredited university OR Relevant business technical experience.
  • Familiarity with screen reader tools (VoiceOver, JAWS, NVDA)
  • Exposure to front end user frameworks (Vue.js, Angularjs, Reactjs, jQuery etc.).
  • Experience working within agile ceremonies and methodologies

Pay Range*: Between $38.00 - $42.00 per hour
