Job description

Fleet Mechanic
The Fleet Mechanic will perform preventative maintenance, servicing, troubleshooting, and necessary repairs to fleet equipment, tractors, and equipment as directed by the Equipment Manager. These responsibilities pertain to assigned utility vehicles of various types. Position will also assist with Turf Equipment maintenance as needed.
Position Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair all fleet equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Diagnose failures and disassemble, repair and reassemble quickly and efficiently.
  • Complete all necessary supporting documents, including maintenance and service records.
  • Maintain cleanliness in areas of work and tools.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and attendance record.
  • Perform all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner.
  • Follow the direction of the Equipment Manager and Senior Turf Equipment Technician
  • Work with or without direct supervision, must be a self-starter and team player

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • 21 years of age or older
  • 1 year mechanic experience on light and heavy equipment
  • Working knowledge and experience with hydraulics, hydrostatics, equipment electrical, 2 and 4 stroke engines, and diesel engines.
  • Lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs repeatedly
  • Valid driver's license
  • Drug Free
