Job description

Job Title: Vehicle Mechanic 

Department: Vehicle Maintenance 

Reports to: Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor 

Responsible for maintaining and repairing company fleet vehicles and equipment to support daily operations. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Repair and maintain light and medium-duty fleet vehicles and equipment, including small engine items  
  • Complete repair orders in a timely and accurate manner  
  • Perform electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs  
  • Assist the Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor with daily operations and additional maintenance needs  
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment  
  • Follow all safety procedures to ensure the well-being of yourself and others 

Qualifications & Requirements: 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age  
  • Flexible work schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays; hours may exceed 40 per week during peak season  
  • Strong listening, problem-solving, and communication skills (verbal and written)  
  • Must be able to speak and read English; additional languages a plus  
  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical repairs  
  • Strong electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting skills preferred  
  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL and inspection license preferred but not required  
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and provide strong customer service  
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time  
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 lbs  
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to busy, noisy work areas and varying weather conditions  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment  
  • Ability to operate tools, equipment, and machinery safely
