Position: Assistant General Manager (AGM)
Are you passionate about sales, team leadership, and growing a business? The AGM plays a pivotal role in scaling revenue and expanding our member base. You'll partner with the General Manager to drive membership growth, hit performance KPIs, and lead a high-performing, customer-obsessed team. If you're hungry to close, coach, and convert-this is your role.
We offer hands-on training for candidates who bring proven sales success and a drive to grow into senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Growth
  • Own the sales floor: actively drive membership sales and increase ticket size by educating clients on the value of regular wellness care.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly revenue goals and sales targets.
  • Implement high-conversion sales strategies and lead sales huddles, training, and performance coaching.
  • Monitor and analyze sales metrics daily; adjust strategies to ensure team alignment with goals.

Team Leadership
  • Recruit, coach, and retain top talent with a passion for hitting goals.
  • Build a culture of accountability and motivation through daily stand-ups and regular performance feedback.
  • Ensure all team members represent the Scenthound brand and deliver exceptional service.

Operations Management
  • Support management in overseeing daily operations and optimizing labor efficiency, average ticket size, and rebook ratios.
  • Maintain a spotless, safe, and welcoming environment for dogs and their humans.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety, sanitation, and operational protocols.

Customer Experience
  • Convert customer interest into committed members by showcasing the value of wellness-based grooming.
  • Resolve issues quickly, using empathy and expertise to turn challenges into loyalty.
  • Cultivate client relationships to drive referrals, upgrades, and retention.

Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Demonstrated sales success with a track record of beating quota.
  • Energetic, persuasive communicator who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Strong coaching skills and the ability to motivate a team to reach and exceed goals.
  • Detail-oriented and solution-focused with a proactive mindset.

Requirements
  • Sales background with concrete examples of performance.
  • Eagerness to grow into a leadership role (prior management experience a plus, not required).
  • Physically able to lift up to 70 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work in a smoke-free environment.

What We Offer
  • Competitive base pay, bonuses, tips, and paid time off.
  • Performance-based pay increases.
  • A high-growth, high-support environment with room for advancement.
