Job description

Music Industry veteran (relocated to Baton Rouge after 35 years in Los Angeles) is seeking an ENERGETIC and highly organized assistant to work with on a variety of projects. We are seeking a go-getter with an amazing attention to detail, good phone skills and dynamite multi-tasking ability. Self-starters are highly valued here.

Please note that the person we are looking for will be working for a record producer who manages 6-7 International touring artists, some based in Baton Rouge and Lafayette, most based in Los Angeles. This producer is frequently on the phone from 9am - 10pm, depending on the needs of the artist. Upcoming projects that wil need assistance include 3 albums to record this year, a jazz photographs book release, multiple live show contract negotiations, 4 web redesigns, a PBS television special, etc.

Individuals do not need to know how to execute these, we will train you, but you do need to be able to execute and report back on what was done. Key is to be a task master. We need an assistant for 25 hours a week, but please note this job could quickly develop into a full-time opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES Manage the calendar, phones, and a heavy inbox Respond to requests and make sure any information that is being requested gets to the proper channels Keep producer updated on status of projects that are ongoing (booked studio time, added artist touring schedule to calendar, etc.) Assist in printing and reviewing contracts Prepare sync and mechanical licenses as requested (training provided) Organize office and files REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of Macs and Microsoft Office for Mac Understanding of Social Media channels A flexible personality with a willingness to learn Confidentiality for the artists we work with BONUS POINTS FOR...
