Cardiac Telemetry Technician

The 61st Street Service Corporation, provides administrative and clinical support staff for ColumbiaDoctors. This position will support ColumbiaDoctors, one of the largest multi-specialty practices in the Northeast. ColumbiaDoctors' practices comprise an experienced group of more than 2,800 physicians, surgeons, dentists, and nurses, offering more than 240 specialties and subspecialties.

Job Summary:

The Cardiac Telemetry Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day management of remote ECG tracings data for the Electrophysiology Clinic at CUIMC.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review heartbeat data sent by patients from their home devices (e.g., Medtronic Linq and AliveCor Kardia Pro monitors) and review daily alerts and transmissions for patients enrolled in remote monitoring.
  • Provide daily management of patient care delivery and assist in problem solving in the patient care setting.
  • Identifies rhythms that require immediate attention and notifies appropriate clinical staff.
  • Review daily ECG data and documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Communicate with patients along with clinical staff to ensure timely and appropriate coordination of care.
  • Conduct device registration, patient education, device troubleshooting and phone triage.
  • Verify patient information in EPIC and PaceArt; update accordingly.
  • Utilize the EPIC and PaceArt system to input discreet clinical data elements: medications, allergies, vitals, and patient problems in accordance with meaningful use measures.
  • Assist Physicians and Nurse Practitioners as needed in the clinical flow of the practice.
  • Perform general office duties such as monitoring the physician's daily EPIC schedules, answering incoming calls, photocopying, faxing, and scanning.
  • Maintain an inventory of required office supplies and inform the Office Manager of any items needed to order.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Telemetry certification required.
  • Knowledge or prior experience with cardiac rhythm and Medtronic LINQ monitors, programmers, and Carelink Program. Knowledge of AliveCor devices and Kardia Pro platform.
  • Must have excellent customer service and leadership skills in a high-pressure environment.
  • Must be able to interact with all levels of staff and must understand patient confidentiality.

Hourly Rate Ranges: $23.16 - $32.69

Note: Our salary offers will fall within these ranges based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, skill set, training and education.
