RiverView Health, is a community owned, membership based non-profit organization that was formed in 1898 and continues to be the sole community hospital in Crookston, MN.
RiverView Health operates a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital, RiverView Recovery Center; a chemical dependency outpatient treatment program, RiverView Home Care and five primary care and specialty clinics in the hospitals service area.

Responsibilities
On-Call Cardiopulmonary Rehab Clinician (RN or RT Career Opportunity)
Location: Outpatient
Position Status: On-Call; Non-exempt subject to over-time
Schedule: Shift opportunities Mon-Thurs 6:30am -3:00pm
Pay Range: $29.90 - $41.87 (based on experience)
RiverView Health is looking to hire a Temp, Part-time Cardiopulmonary Rehab Support Staff. The Cardiopulmonary Rehab Support Staff is a clinically competent, licensed, professional of his/her discipline who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients through the process of evaluation, ongoing assessment, planning, and implementation of therapy interventions. The individual is expected to effectively and professionally interacting with patients, family members, and other health care team members while maintaining RiverView Health standards of behavior.
Primary responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and interpret patient assessments for Phase II Cardiac Rehab and Pulmonary Rehab programs
  • Maintain cardiac/pulmonary rehab programming according to certification requirements of the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR)
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that focus on functional and measurable outcomes to achieve established goals
  • Document and complete billing according to current standards and policies
  • Perform data collection and obtain accurate information
  • Identify patient's needs (physical, cultural, and psychosocial) and exhibit compassion, caring, and empathy to individual differences
  • Provides guidance and education to patients and their families
  • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
  • Assist in maintenance of equipment, tools, supplies, and inventory
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards
  • Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and patient education skills

Minimum(s):
  • Current State of Minnesota license in Respiratory Therapy (RT) or Registered Nurse (RN), which must be in good standing is required
  • Associate or Bachelor degree in Respiratory Therapy or an Associate or Bachelor degree in Nursing is required.
  • Current American Heart BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required. If not currently certified, training will be provided and certification must be obtained within the 3 months upon hire.

Preferred(s):
  • Experience with 1+ years of Cardiology Experience
  • 1+ years of Healthcare Experience
  • 1+ year Rhythm and Telemetry Recognition
  • 1+ year of Stress Testing Experience
