Job description

We have 2 openings for Assistant Solder Techs in Wichita, Ks.

This position pays $18.50 and the hours are M-F from 6am to 2:30pm. This is a long-term opportunity and starts asap!

Overview:

The Assistant Solder Tech is responsible for using soldering equipment to repair, modify, and change parts on electronic circuit boards and STB units.

Daily duties include:

  • Troubleshoots electronics equipment.

  • Solder equipment using both surface mount and thru-hole methods.

  • Use repair equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, volt meters & soldering irons.

  • Maintain satisfactory quality performance levels.

  • Maintain a clean, organized workstation.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to operate test equipment

  • Ability to read schematics

  • Good manual dexterity

  • Possess solder and de-soldering skills

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Must be able to perform both surface mount and thru-hole soldering techniques as well as operate automated repair equipment (BGA machine)

  • Computer skills are a must for accurate data entry of completed units

  • IPC certs are preferred but not required
