Job description

Description:

 The Newman University Theatre Department is looking a student worker to assist with building and technology needs for the Music and Theatre productions. Position to start Fall 2026.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  1. Work in the shop and build sets
  2. Hang and focus lights
  3. Run sound and production work for Music, Theatre, and campus events
  4. Run errands as needed
Requirements:


  1. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  2. Must be a current Newman University student enrolled full-time (12 credit hours per semester)
  3. Electrical and carpentry skills
  4. Knowledge and experience with power tools
  5. Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  6. Must work well with others in a team setting

Number of hours per week: approximately 15

Hours: Will vary during regular business hours, with some evenings and weekends required

Rate of Pay: $8.25 per hour
