Job description

POSITION PURPOSE This position serves as the first encounter for patients, visitors, and vendors in the Wound Care Department. This position is supportive of Wound Care Clinic Staff, scheduling, stocking, managing, billing, and serves as the main contact person for clients. The Outpatient Wound Care Administrative Assistant/Technician must be clinically competent. MINIMUM MANDATORY qualificationsย Experience:
  • A minimum of two (2) years of documented successful experience in a healthcare setting.
Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Mandatory Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications:
  • Advanced knowledge of provider schedule management and utilization.
  • Superior interpersonal and team building skills.
  • Knowledge of the mission, organization, programs, and requirements of the healthcare delivery system of THS.
  • Knowledge of their specific disciplines and scope of practice in New Mexico.
  • Skill in oral and written communication in dealing with a variety of individuals.
  • Ability and utilization to recognize, anticipate, and respond to the needs of customers/patients in a caring, respectful, and courteous manner that leads to satisfactory resolution for the customer/patient.
  • Strong skill set on computer and telecommunication devices.
  • Analytical ability to evaluate complex patient scenarios and critical thinking skills.
  • A record of satisfactory performance in all prior and current employment as evidenced by positive employment references from previous and current employers.
Preferred qualifications
  • CNA, MA, LPN, EMP-I or EMT-P
