Job description

Job Purpose:
- The Assistant Team Lead at Goodwill Industries of Dallas Inc will support the Team Lead in overseeing daily operations and ensuring the efficient functioning of the team within the charitable sector. This role is pivotal in fostering a collaborative environment, driving team performance, and contributing to the organization's mission of improving lives through the power of work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Team Lead in managing and supervising team members to ensure productivity and adherence to organizational goals.
- Coordinate with the Team Lead to implement strategies that enhance team performance and operational efficiency.
- Facilitate communication within the team to ensure clarity of objectives and alignment with the organization's mission.
- Support the Team Lead in conducting regular performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback to team members.
- Participate in the development and execution of training programs to enhance team skills and capabilities.
- Assist in resolving conflicts and addressing issues within the team to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of projects and initiatives that align with the organization's charitable goals.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures, promoting a culture of integrity and accountability.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and support organizational objectives.
- Act as a liaison between the team and management, providing updates and feedback to enhance decision-making processes.

Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field is preferred.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably within a non-profit or charitable organization.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and leading teams to achieve organizational goals.
- Experience in project management and the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with the operations and functions of a non-profit organization is highly desirable.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse groups of people.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with database management.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High level of integrity and commitment to the mission and values of Goodwill Industries.
