Job Summary:
The key for Supermicro Computer, Inc. to success in technology is designing a company around people committed to work with passion and being a part of our "Super Story". The System Engineer will be responsible for reporting all potential problems and support customer issues. System Engineer must have knowledgeable in PC, System, Server Operation and Diagnostic, and can differentiate between hardware and software product problems is who we are looking for.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
  • Able to assist manager to handle special cases such as GPU, Memory and CPU test process.
  • Review and report all customer RMA problems in RMA Repair Database.
  • Ensure quality control within the team to meet Commercial, Military, Medical Standards, and customer satisfaction.
  • Able to perform customer supports activities for SMC products and third-party accessories on our server.
  • Ensure incoming RMA backlog is reviewed weekly and meet RMA repair guidelines for response time and service level to customer.
  • Able to self-improve, study newly released products and provide new test guidelines for technicians.
  • Able to create and improve testing SOP to meet expected quantity within turnaround time.
  • Work closely with manager and report potential problems which could impact timely completion of RMA repair to customer.
  • Able to substitute and perform all duties listed in system repair and test technician requisition.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or Computer Science preferred
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Computer Systems service and troubleshooting and customer server environment preferred
• Good Software Operation Skill, Linux and Windows
• Detail oriented and good time management is essential
• Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• With PXE Networking experience, CPU / GPU / MEM troubleshooting related experience will be a plus
Please note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.
Salary Range
$82,000 - $133,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs
