Job description

Work hours are generally 0700-1600, Monday through Friday. Work hours may deviate from 0700 or later than 1600, or include weekends, to support operational requirements, real-life events, exercises, system troubleshooting, or maintenance.

Title: Audio Video Technician

Client : FAA

Duration: 2 months for now, with the possibility of an extension.

Term: Full Time

Responsibilities

  • Install, integrate, modify, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the audio and video systems
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot conference room AV systems and equipment.
  • Install and configure software upgrades and patches to AV equipment
  • Perform cable pulls where needed.
  • Perform proper termination of various cable types to include Fiber Optic.
  • Perform basic modifications to internal audio Digital Signal Processors (DSP).
  • Perform basic modifications to Crestron control systems and touch panel UI’s
  • Troubleshoot and correct programming of Crestron control equipment
  • Coordinate repair return authorizations with manufacturers and vendors as part of maintenance activities.
  • Assist the Government in the design, upgrade and adoption of new AV technologies in support of the system LCM
  • Maintain the certification and accreditation of all Video Teleconferencing systems in accordance with DOD, Navy and USFF instruction and directives as well as DISA STIG for VTC and related instructions and directives from authoritative sources.
  • Support the government Defense Reutilization Material Office program in the proper turn in and disposal of equipment that is no longer of use to USFF AV systems
  • Provide training to users in the use of AV systems
  • Develop POAM and maintenance plans
  • Attend and/or coordinate AV meetings
  • Coordinate repair return authorizations with manufacturers and vendors as part of maintenance activities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with AV system integration.
  • Expert experience level equipment installations and rack building.
  • Expert experience level cable terminator.
  • Experience reading and understanding system schematics.
  • Experience utilizing integration work ethic to create neat and reliable systems.
  • Experience working independently or as a member of an integrated team.
  • Avixa CTS – Certified Technology Specialist Certified
  • Must obtain Avixa CTS-I certification within twelve months upon reporting onboard
  • Experience loading and dumping programming files to Crestron Control Processors.
  • Intermediate experience level utilizing Crestron SIMPL, VTPro, and Toolbox software applications.
  • Experience building or modifying UI parameters for touch panel interface devices and loading these devices per modification change.
  • Must complete Crestron Fusion course within six months upon reporting onboard
  • Must complete Crestron NVX course within six months upon reporting onboard.
  • Avixa Rack Design for Audio Visual Systems course completion
  • CompTIA Security + Certified
  • Must have an adjudicated SECRET clearance/access
