About the Role: The Storekeeper supports production at out St. Joseph, Mo location and is responsible receiving, inspecting, storing, and shipping products and materials. This position ensures inventory accuracy, maintain shipping records, and coordinates with warehouse staff, customer service, and purchasing officers to ensure efficient operations. This role will have hands-on warehouse duties with organization, recordkeeping, and communication.
Location: St. Joseph, MO
Shift: 1st shift, 6:30a-2:30p
Pay: $25.37
Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of all materials and products stored in the warehouse, including raw materials, finished products, and supplies.
  • Receive incoming materials and products, inspecting them for quality and quantity, and verifying that they match purchase orders or packing slips.
  • Ensure proper storage of materials and products to prevent damage or deterioration.
  • Inspect products for damage or discrepancies and report any issues.
  • Schedule pickups and deliveries with shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, freights companies, etc.).
  • Enter shipment information into inventory management or ERP systems.
  • Organize and stock the warehouse while optimizing space utilization and accessibility.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials as needed to maintain sufficient stock levels.
  • Coordinate with procurement and production departments to fulfill material requirements timely.
  • Process requests for materials from various departments, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and distribution of items.
  • Maintain detailed records of all incoming and outgoing materials, including receipts, invoices, and inventory reports.
  • Assist in conducting periodic inventory audits to reconcile physical stock with records and identify discrepancies.
  • Keep the shipping and receiving area clean and organized.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Oversee the maintenance and servicing of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and storage racks, to ensure their safe and efficient operation.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain compliance of security measures to prevent theft or unauthorized access to materials.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate material flow and resolve any issues related to inventory management.
  • Commute to between site locations as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Forklift certification is required.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Experience:
  • Preferred at least1-2 years proven experience in a warehouse, shipping, receiving, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Preferred 1-2 years of computer knowledge working with inventory management software or ERP systems is a plus.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Strong Organizational Skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
